About this event

Young Artist Workshops are free art activities for children ages 3-17 (must be accompanied by an adult guardian). Participants can come to a YAW anytime between 3 and 7 pm. Workshops at Elyze Clifford Interpretive Center (located within Prime Desert Woodland Preserve) are every third Sunday of the month. Art activities take about 10-30 minutes to make; seating and supplies are first-come, first-serve. Participants create artwork from start to finish, with all the supplies and guidance provided by MOAH staff. Each YAW is unique and introduces children to a variety of art techniques, materials, and processes.

UPCOMING WORKSHOP

✨Turn the warm summer winds into cool, beautiful sounds.✨

Join us on Sunday, July 20, from 12–4 PM at the Elyze Clifford Interpretive Center for our Young Artist Workshop: Summer Wind Chimes. Inspired by the beautiful sounds of chimes dancing in the desert wind, this hands-on, drop-in workshop invites children to design and create their own wind chimes using string, bells, wood dowels, and colorful gems.

Our staff will assist with hot glue for safe assembly, while parents and guardians are required to remain present with their children throughout the activity. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time together while encouraging creativity and curiosity in your young artist.

The Young Artist Workshops take place every third Sunday of the month at the Elyze Clifford Interpretive Center, providing a welcoming space for families to connect and create together.
