Thursdays in May + June, the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington will host fresh, fun art making activities at Metropolitan Park alongside Jazz @ Met Park. Grab a friend and come by between 4:30-6:30pm. FREE!

What kind of activities will there be?

Activities and materials will vary each week! Expect: watercolor, print making, collage, and more....check the event details for activity listings by date!

What if I don't know much about art?

This is for you, too! Activities are designed for absolute beginners and experienced artists as well. We believe that everyone has an inner creative. How you approach the activity will vary with experience, but instruction will be available from experienced artists and creatives, if you'd like!

Will there be food?

You can check out the Toby's Ice Cream cart for a rotation of pre-scooped flavors each week. Good Company Doughnuts will also be popping up with bites and drinks for purchase. You're also welcome to pack a picnic and bring it along!

Who organizes the music?

DC Jazz Festival coordinates the program and line up of musicians for Jazz@Met Park. We're proud to partner with the National Landing BID who sponsors this amazing season of live, outdoor music!

Previously known as the Arlington Arts Center, the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that enriches community life by connecting the public with contemporary art and artists through exhibitions, education programs, and an artists-in-residence program. Located at 3550 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA, the museum is open Wed.-Sun. 12-5pm. The museum has free on-site parking, is easy to reach by metro and bus, and is accessible.
