About this event

Join us for the 2nd AAPI & Asian Canadian Music Education Gathering in St. Paul, Minnesota! We look forward to discussions and music-making centered on lived experiences of people who identify as part of Asian diasporas in music teaching and learning. The "main" hotel is the Radisson Downtown St. Paul. We had initially made reservations at Best Western (BW) Como Park, but that site was closed by BW corporate. Our meeting sites are still in a little flux, so stay tuned!

Note: purchasing one ticket allows you participation in all three days' events (even though the purchase looks like it's only for July 24).

Welcome to the Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Asian Canadian Music Education Gathering. Similar to a conference, this will be a celebration of school music teachers, music teacher educators, and community-based music teachers who identify as AAPI. The focus of this event is to come together as a diverse body of musicians-educators, share stories and songs, and co-learn about multifaceted perspectives of AAPI music educators working in communities across the United States and its territories.
